Here is my latest story.

The Guns of WWII
“WWII required a massive outpour of manufacturing capabilities” (according to _____) to supply the weaponry and vehicles used during that time. This wasn’t a time for regular weapons, this was a time for war ending master pieces and that is what came. Many weapons, many countries. The three most notable three were the Browning M1918 (BAR), The M1 Garand, and the M1 Thompson (Tommy Gun).

The Browning M1918

The Browning M1918 was made by John .M. Browning. This was a family of weapons used over seas and by many other countries. It was a fully auto machine gun that replaced many other variants in the war. It has a cylindrical flash suppressor fixed to the end of the barrel, a fixed wooden butt stock and closed-type iron sights, consisting of a forward post and rear leaf sight, adjustable to between 100 and 1,500 yards. It was air cooled and was a 30-06caliber. It got the name “walking fire,” but then was replaced when it was changed to light machinegun and when machineguns with bipods took its place.

The M1 Garand

The M1 Garand was designed by John .C. Garand In 1901 when America started making semi auto rifles. The M1 saw action across seas for many years. It was bolt action, 30 caliber, and gas cooled. The barrel’s design was changed twice. It saw action in not one, not two, but three major American conflicts including WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. It was a sleek, beautiful, and extremely deadly.

The M1 Thompson.

Formally known as the Tommy gun the Thompson was a fully auto machinegun. It was air cooled. This gun was to be first tested in the First World War but never made it overseas. This gun had a circular magazine that held at least twenty rounds. Since it didn’t make it over seas it was adopted by gangsters and was used for the wrong thing and lead to crime in almost every major city.
Well that is what I know. There is more reliable information on the web. So don’t stop looking till you find a good website. So hope you liked it.
